Velocity

Velocity is nautical coffee shop is located on the ground floor of the Northwest Maritime Center - a LEED-certified building and stunning wedding venue, in the heart of downtown Port Townsend.

Enjoy your cappuccino or latte inside the beautiful coffee shop or sip your espresso outside and breathe in the maritime air. Velocity sources their coffee from local roaster, Olympia Coffee, and also serves Port Townsend pastries and bagels from Pan d'Amore and Bob's Bagels, respectively.

Velocity is open daily from 6:30am to 5pm.

Farm’s Reach not only has an amazing espresso bar serving only organic Caffe Vita, but the most delectable gluten-free, vegan pastries including cookies and doughnuts!

The aptly named coffee shop is within reach of the local farms, wineries & cideries, and in-season produce. The cafe supports our local farming community by sourcing farm fresh ingredients for their pastries, salads, and sandwiches.

Better Living Through Coffee

Better Living Through Coffee is a waterfront coffee shop serving traditional and creative espresso drinks like the Port Townsend themed “Caffè Chetzemocha” with cocoa, spices, and chipotle peppers and a Salted Caramel Latte with house-made caramel.

 

Enjoy lunch favorites including salads, soups, and quiches from their organic foods menu as you gaze out at the miraculous waters of Puget Sound.

Sunrise Coffee Co. is both an organic, local roaster and coffee shop located in the Port Townsend boat yard. Sunrise has been roasting fresh green coffee beans since 1985.

 

Stop by their coffee shop to try one of their blends or pick up a bag of some of their favorites like the “Fly by the Night”, their darkest roast, or the “Port Townsend Blend”, a bright & rich roast honoring our maritime city.

During the Winter/Spring seasons, Sunrise is open Monday - Friday from 6:30am to 5:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 2:00pm.

The Boiler Room is a non-profit coffee shop that is dedicated to strengthening the community as a safe space with trained volunteer baristas.

The Boiler Room also hosts free events including live music of all genres on Fridays and Saturdays and all ages open mic night Wednesdays. Open Tuesday - Sunday from 8:00am to 10:00pm.

If coffee just isn’t your thing but in search of that PNW coffee shop vibe, head over to Pippa’s Real Tea immediately! As they say themselves, this is “not your Grandmother’s tea room”. Pippa’s is a beautiful place to spend the morning or afternoon (bonus: free wifi!) and during the warmer months opens their gorgeous courtyard.

Peruse over 100 loose leaf teas and after you find your favorite the helpful Tea Mavens will serve your selected tea in a french press with a timer so you know exactly how long to steep your cup. Pippa’s also serves scones with clotted cream, house-made pastries, and seasonal soups and sandwiches daily.

And on Saturdays indulge in high tea with tea sandwiches, fruit, scones, and of course their large selection of teas (reservations required)!
