5 Port Townsend Places to Dine with a View

There is so much delicious food in Port Townsend. We are very, very lucky. But not all of those spots have the food and incredible views. As summer begins and the days become longer, everyone wants to soak up as much of the stunning landscape our marine town has to offer. Here are just a few of our favorite places to eat around town with a view.

Quench

Quench is a Hawaiian-inspired restaurant with incredible views of Puget Sound. Watch the ferry come in and out while you dine from one of their two outdoor decks. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail, share a few plates, and breath in the marine air. Some of our favorite dishes are the Deep Fried Cauliflower in Sweet Chili Lava Sauce and the Loco Moco. Quench is open for dinner starting at 3pm on Wednesday - Sunday, champagne brunch beginning at 11am on Sundays, and happy hour daily from 3-5pm.

Howell’s Sandwich Co.

Howell’s is a great lunch or an early dinner for those on the hunt for an absolutely delicious sandwich (or salad, wrap, or snack!). Their sandwich shop has a great deck meant for staying a bit longer and enjoying a beer or two. Soak up the sunshine and watch the waves from the second story deck. All of Howell’s sandwiches can be turned into a wrap or a salad so gluten-free, vegetarians, and vegans can enjoy too! We love the Farmer Ed sandwich and Metropolitan. Howell’s is open Tuesday - Sunday from 11am to 6pm (food service stops at 5:45).

Sirens

Sirens is a great classic pub with a killer deck. On hot summer nights it is one of my favorite spots to enjoy a drink and cool off outdoors. Their Strawberry Lemonade is my favorite (as they call it “their perfect deck drink”) and Sirens offers a full bar, 11 beers on tap, wine, and cider. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, respectively, Sirens has open mic night and karaoke. Sirens opens daily at noon and happy hour is from 4pm - 6pm.

Pourhouse

The Pourhouse is the perfect place to enjoy a craft beer and bring a picnic or take-out food! Although the Pourhouse doesn’t serve food itself, they welcome you to bring your own. This beach taproom has 12 beers and two ciders on tap (rotating), a great wine list, and a wide variety of bottles & cans. The beer garden, The Impound Lot, has bocce ball and ping pong and on most weekends, live music. You simply can’t beat this view or vibe.

Finnriver

For a very different and equally beautiful view, head over to Finnriver for some of the most stunning pastoral landscapes in the Chimacum Valley. Partake in a cider tasting and grab a glass of one of their delicious ciders and roam their acres of orchards or simply just take in the view. Finnriver has a daily food menu daily on the weekends has food-fired pizza from Dented Buoy, french crepes from La Crepe de Quimper, seafood and fresh oysters from Hama Hama, and vegan ice cream from Fiddlehead Creamery.
